Ranchi, April 17, 2026: A modern, eco-friendly public utility toilet complex using green
technology was inaugurated today at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama. The inauguration
was carried out by Swami Divyanandaji Maharaj, Vice President of the Ramakrishna Math
and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal.
Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Hindustan Copper Limited,
participated in the inauguration ceremony virtually through an online video connection. The
toilet complex has been constructed with exclusive financial support under the Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of Hindustan Copper Limited.
The newly constructed facility is designed to cater to diverse user needs, with separate
sections for men, women, and persons who are physically challenged. Emphasizing
sustainability, the complex incorporates green building features such as natural daylight
through transparent roofing elements, significantly reducing reliance on conventional
electricity. The minimal energy requirement—only a few watts—is met through a 3-kW solar
power system. The facility also includes proper ventilation systems, high standards of
hygiene, and a rooftop rainwater harvesting mechanism.
This initiative is expected to benefit a wide cross-section of the community, including
visitors to the Ashrama, guests, resource persons, trainees, and facilitators, by providing
essential sanitation infrastructure and enhancing overall convenience.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by monks and members of the Ashrama’s
management committee, including Shri V. K. Gaddyan, President, and Shri Puneet Poddar,
along with other distinguished guests. The event concluded with the distribution of prasad.

उपयोगिता शौचालय परिसर का उद्घाटन किया गया। उद्घाटन रामकृष्ण मठ और रामकृष्ण मिशन, बेलूर
मठ, हावड़ा, पश्चिम बंगाल के उपाध्यक्ष स्वामी दिव्यानंदजी महाराज द्वारा किया गया।
हिंदुस्तान कॉपर लिमिटेड के अध्यक्ष-सह-प्रबंध निदेशक संजीव कुमार सिंह ने ऑनलाइन वीडियो कनेक्शन
के माध्यम से उद्घाटन समारोह में भाग लिया। शौचालय परिसर का निर्माण हिंदुस्तान कॉपर लिमिटेड की
कॉर्पोरेट सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी (सीएसआर) पहल के तहत विशेष वित्तीय सहायता से किया गया है।
नवनिर्मित सुविधा को उपयोगकर्ताओं की विविध आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करने के लिए डिज़ाइन किया गया
है, जिसमें पुरुषों, महिलाओं और शारीरिक रूप से अक्षम व्यक्तियों के लिए अलग-अलग अनुभाग हैं।
स्थिरता पर जोर देते हुए, परिसर में पारदर्शी छत तत्वों के माध्यम से प्राकृतिक दिन के उजाले जैसी हरित
भवन सुविधाओं को शामिल किया गया है, जो पारंपरिक बिजली पर निर्भरता को काफी कम करता है।
न्यूनतम ऊर्जा आवश्यकता – केवल कुछ वाट – 3-किलोवाट सौर ऊर्जा प्रणाली के माध्यम से पूरी की
जाती है। सुविधा में उचित वेंटिलेशन सिस्टम, स्वच्छता के उच्च मानक और छत पर वर्षा जल संचयन
तंत्र भी शामिल है।
इस पहल से आवश्यक स्वच्छता अवसंरचना प्रदान करने और समग्र सुविधा बढ़ाने से आश्रम में आने वाले
आगंतुकों, मेहमानों, संसाधन व्यक्तियों, प्रशिक्षुओं और सुविधाकर्ताओं सहित समुदाय के एक व्यापक वर्ग को
लाभ होने की उम्मीद है। उद्घाटन समारोह में साधुओं और आश्रम की प्रबंधन समिति के सदस्यों ने भाग
लिया, जिनमें अध्यक्ष श्री वी.के. गद्दीन और श्री पुनीत पोद्दार के साथ-साथ अन्य प्रतिष्ठित अतिथि भी
शामिल थे। कार्यक्रम का समापन प्रसाद वितरण के साथ हुआ।
