To commemorate World Environment Day on 5th June 2025, an integrated outreach programme was
conducted under the aegis of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) in the Burmu Block.
A total of three scientific teams visited nine villages: Katindiri, Bagda, Salhan, Kulwe, Ginjothakur
Gaon, Burmu, Murgi, Usku, and Saram. The primary objective was to promote environmental
awareness and sustainable agricultural practices.
Key activities included:
- Awareness Campaigns on eco-friendly and climate-resilient agricultural techniques
- Village-level Interactions to disseminate knowledge on soil conservation, organic
farming, and low-input methods - Plantation Drives involving community participation to enhance green cover and mark
the significance of the day
The collaborative effort aimed to instill environmental stewardship among rural communities,
empowering farmers—especially women and youth—with knowledge for sustainable development.
