The Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi is preparing to celebrate its centenary year in 2027. Established in 1927 by Swami Vishudhananda Maharaj in accordance with the ideals and guidelines of Swami Vivekananda, the Ashrama has been a cornerstone of service and spiritual upliftment in the region.

Over the decades, the Ashrama has made significant contributions in the fields of social service, agriculture, livelihood promotion, and rural development, positively impacting countless lives. With the steady growth in its activities and the increasing number of devotees, coupled with the deteriorating condition of the existing temple structure, it has been resolved to construct a new complex to mark this historic milestone.

The proposed complex will comprise a new temple and a multipurpose hall, aimed at expanding the Ashrama’s outreach and enhancing its capacity to serve society. This multipurpose hall will be used for range of societal services like annpurnadan, Yoga classes, cultural and spiritual discourses etc. This complex shall be open to be used by various communities and sects for achieving the envisioned RKM mandates.
In this regard, a meeting was convened on 29 March 2026 at the Ashrama premises in Ranchi. The meeting was attended by eminent citizens of the city, including retired government officials, prominent businessmen, legal professionals, chartered accountants, consultants, academicians, and other distinguished members of society.

The meeting was chaired by Shri V. K. Gaddyal, President of the Ashrama Management Committee. The proceedings were conducted by Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of the Management Committee.

After detailed deliberations, the committee, along with the invitees, resolved to adopt a strategic and systematic approach for mobilizing funds for the construction of the new complex. The estimated cost of the project is approximately ₹10 crore.

An earnest appeal has been made to all sections of society, institutions, and organizations to actively participate and contribute generously towards this noble cause. The initiative aims not only to strengthen the Ashrama’s service activities but also to contribute meaningfully to nation-building, in line with the visionary ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

For further information and contributions, interested individuals and organizations are encouraged to contact the Ashrama office.
