Christmas Eve was observed in a magnificent way in the Ashrama Auditorium on 24/12/2008. Devotees across the Ranchi city gathered to celebrate the sacred festival. At  6.30 p.m. the programme was started with the Vedic chanting by monks and Brahmacharinis of the Ashrama followed by an opening song. The programme  further progressed with two carols presented  by Ursuline Novices Choir and Tarunodaya Choir. After that  Fr. Ignatius Tete addressed the devotees on Life and teachings of Jesus Christ. He didn’t confined himself only to the Life and Message of the Son of God, rather he discussed its application for recovering our terror stricken  national and social life. His speech was followed by the benediction of  Ashrama secretary Rev. Swami Shashankananda. After that two beautiful carols were presented depicting the life of Jesus Christ . The programme came to an end  with  a  closing song (Yasu mera jeevan jyoti)  and prasad distribution among  500 nos. of  devotees.
