Extension helps people to help themselves. Good extension work is directed towards assisting rural farmers to work out their own problems rather than giving them ready-made solutions. Actual participation and experience of people in these programmes creates self confidence in them and they also learn more by doing. A meeting is organised on the 1st day of every month at Divyayan to achieve this. The meeting provides a forum to chief functionaries of VSS to  discuss their various problems and their problems are recorded.

In the same month all the problems are addressed on their land itself. This year average participation of functionaries in meeting was 123.
