Title : Efficacy of Rhizobium culture in pea under acidic rain-fed condition.
Problem : Low yield of pea in rain-fed upland due to inadequate supply of nutrients, loss in yield is about 35% to 45%.
Technology Assessment/Refinement : T1- Farmer’s practice (8:20:0::N:P2O5:K2O) ha-1 T2- 100% RDF (20:40:20:: N:P2O5:K2O) ha-1 T3- 50% P,K(20:10::P2O5:K2O)+ Rhizobium culture

Final recommendation for micro level situation : Use of Rhizobium culture with 50% DAP & MOP,not only increased the net profit per ha but also increased the fertility of soil.
Constaints identified : Method of seed treatment and sowing of seed were faulty. Good quality Rhizobium culture was not available in local market.
Farmer’s reaction : They are interested to adopt this technology. |
