Vocational training imparted to Jail inmates:

 

Training programmes on Economic Development for  man and women inmates respectively at Khunti and Namkum Jail (Ranchi) were organised this year. A total of 26 man at Khunti jail and 25 women  at Namkum Jail  participated in the programme. The women inmates were imparted training in Doll making, Soft Toys Making, Jewellery Making and Men inmates were imparted training on Tailoring. the women inmates were provided with scissors threads of different kind, different types of cloths, drawing copies, pencils, faces and hair of dolls,  jewellery fittings and materials, cotton etc For tailoring training, cloths, threads and scissors were provided to the inmates and 1 sewing machine was provided for the training programme. Shirt -9, Under pant -9, Janghia -1 , Somouj – 4 pcs, Ganji – 14 pcs, Khalita -1 pc were stitched by the jail inmates.

  Out of 26 only 9 jail inmates could complete the course because others were released during the course.
