Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi has always been emphasizing on use of renewable energy resources. Most of its adopted villages have not been electrified yet. So there is a need to depend on some alternate energy sources. So we have felt that the solar energy is the best alternative renewable  source of energy for the villagers. With the help of renewable energy department, Govt. of India we have distributed solar lanterns and solar panel to villagers with a subsidized rate. We have also encouraged villagers to use other equipments like solar pump, solar water heater, solar drier, solar street light etc through our own sloar energy park and conducting exhibition in Kisan Melas.

 

We have also trained village youth for repairing different solar energy run equipments if any faults comes up during its use. So that they will be able to repair the equipments in their village itself without depending on the external agency. It also helps in sustaining this renewable energy system in village for a very long period.
