ANNUAL CELEBRATION – 2017

Annual Celebration for the year 2017 will be celebrated from 12th May to 17th May.The 6-day long celebration will have a series of programmes including Public Meetings, Ramcharit Manas Path and Cultural Programmes. Artists from in and out of the Jharkhand to present cultural programmes. BEST KVK AWARD (ZONAL) ZONE-IV

Ramakrisha Mission Ashrama, Divyayan Krishi Vigyan Kendra has been awarded Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Rashtriya Krishi Vigyan Protshahan Puraskar(Zonal)-2016 for Zone IV (Consisting of Jharkhand and Bihar) as this KVK has played vital role in productivity, profitability and livelihood improvement through assessment and refinement of technologies in agriculture and related area.

The certificate and a cheque of Rs. 2,25,000/- was handed over to Revered Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary of this Ashrama by Sri Radha Mohan Singh, Hon’ble Agriculture Minister, Govt. of India in the gracious presence of Shri Sudrashan Bhagat  Hon’ble State Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of India in a programme organized at IARI, New Delhi Campus on 15 March, 2017.

Central Kisan Mela – 2017

‘Organic Farming- Successful Farmer- Prosperous Nation’ based on this theme, like every year this year also a two day long Central KisanMela ( 23rd and 24th Jan. 2017) was organized at  Getalsud Farm of Angara Block in Ranchi District by the joint collaboration of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Divayayan KVK, Morabadi, Ranchi and 33 Vivekananda Seva Sanghas of Angara Block.

The main objectives of the Mela were to introduce farmers with new technologies of agriculture, popularize organic farming and boost confidence among the farmer in adopting organic farming for the healthy environment and healthy society without losing productivity and to demonstrate low cost implements to reduce drudgery and increase agricultural productivity.

To meet the above objectives stalls, models, live demonstrations, audio-visual shows, charts, posters and two Kisan Gosthi were organized during the Kisan Mela. All the events and shows were conducted in local/Hindi languages to get through to the farmers. 22 scientists from the Agricultural Universities and research institutions, KVK were invited during the mela to have direct interaction with the farmers.

Though the mela was opened to the farmers since 8:00 am on 23rd January, 2017 but it was formally inaugurated at 1:00 pm on the same day by the chief guest  Sri Ramtahal Choudhury, Hon’ble Member of Parliament in gracious presence of other dignitaries like Sri Subrat Mondal CGM, NABARD; Sri Ram Kumar, Hon’ble MLA; Sri Vikas Kumar, District Agriculture Officer; Smt. Anita Gadi, Prakhand Pramukh, Angara block; B.D.O. Angara Block etc. After the inauguration, all the guests visited the stalls put on by Divyayan KVK and other agencies.

On 2nd Day of the Mela, Her Excellency Smt. Droupadi Murmu, The Governor of Jharkhand was the chief guest and Sri Sudarshan Bhagat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture, Govt. of India was the Hon’ble guest; Dr. R. P. Singh ‘Ratan’, Director Extension Education, Birsal Agricultural University, Sri Manoj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi; Sri Vikas Kumar, District Agriculture Officer, Ranchi  were the special guests.

All the guests lauded the contribution of Ramakrishna Mission for the growth and development of Agricultural and allied sector in Ranchi and adjoining districts.

Around 16000 farmers attended in both the days of the mela. 83 farmers were awarded for their best produce, Sri Sandip Bedia was awarded as the best farmer and Bhantboreya Vivekananda Seva Sangha was awarded as the best Vivekananda Seva Sangh for its outstanding contribution and activities for the integrated development of their village and locality.

The Mela was very successful in transferring the technologies to farmers and bring awareness among the farmers .

Regional Kisan Mela at Vill-Tigranayatoli, Block-Ratu, Dist.-Ranchi

A regional Kisan Mela (Block Level Farmers’ Fair) at village-Tigranayatoli under Ratu Block of Ranchi district on 16 January 2017. The aim and objective of this Kisan Mela was to create awareness about the latest technologies in the field of Agriculture and Allied trades among the farmers as well as to inform them about assistance being provided to small and marginal farmers under various schemes of state and central govt. for the development of agricultural sector. The theme of the mela was Organic Farming-Successful Farmer-Prosperous Nation.

The mela was inaugurated by Dr. R. P. Singh ‘Ratan’, Director Extension Education, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi in the gracious presence of Sri Ganesh Toppo, Asst. General Manager, Bank of India, Regional Office, Ranchi; Sri R. K. Singh, State Marketing Officer, IFFCO and Dr. Ajeet Singh, Senior Scientist along with other scientists of this KVK.

The mela had different stalls for different agricultural produce, agricultural equipment, cottage industry, Self Help Groups, Books and literature, food processing, animal husbandry etc.

371 crop exhibits, 39 birds and animal exhibits and 38 cottage industries exhibits were brought by the farmers for competition.

The aim and objective of this Kisan Mela was to create awareness about the latest technologies in the field of Agriculture and Allied trades among the farmers as well as to inform them about assistance being provided to small and marginal farmers under various schemes of state and central govt. for the development of agricultural sector. 46 farmers received first prize for the best produce in agronomical and horticultural crop and 46 farmers received second prize in the same category. 10 participants received  prize in cottage industry category and 5 participants received consultation prizes.

Yuva Jagaran Vivek Rath Parikrama

Government of Jharkhand sponsored Yuva Jagaran Vivek-Rath Parikrama, on stride under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi to cover all the 24 districts of the State, was formally inaugurated at Khunti, by Mr. Amar Kumar Bauri, Minister, Tourism, Art & Culture, Sports, Youth Affairs on December 21, 2016 in the midst of huge gathering of Government dignitaries, students, Ramakrishna Mission monks and general public.

Mr. Bauri, in his inaugural speech, urged the necessity of imbibing invigorating and man making messages of Swamiji to make the Nation and the State great. Addressing the disciplined gathering, the Minister reminded Swami Vivekananda Clarion call उत्तिष्ठत जाग्रत ! उठो ! जागो ! and asked the students to read Swamiji’s books to prove themselves enlightened citizens of India.

Swami Buddhadevananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission T.B. Sanatorium, Tupudana, Ranchi and Swami Bhaveshananda, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Morabadi, Ranchi also addressed the gathering with their short but inspiring speeches.

More than thousand copies of New Year calendar with Swamiji’s photographs, booklets “Jagaran Mantra”, book on Personality Development by Swami Vivekananda and Laddoo Prasadam were distributed among the gathering and dignitaries. After inaugural function the Vivek-Rath reached local DAV Centenary College where Swami Bhaveshananda, Swami Antarananda and the college Principal addressed the students.

The booklet “Jagaran Mantra”, covering the invigorating messages of Swami Vivekanananda and the New Year calendar with Swamiji message, to be distributed among twenty five thousands youths and others in all the 24 districts of the State have been designed and published by the Ashrama at the behest of the State Govt. in the Tourism, Art & Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department.

Beautifully decorated Vivek-Rath with magnificent statue of Swamiji on the front top under a canopy, reached Khunti, the district headquarters of Dharati Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s birthplace, from Ranchi at 10.30 a.m. Earlier Yuva Jagaran Vivek-Rath proceeded from Vivekananda University campus for 23 day Parikrama after a brief worship function amidst Vedic Chanting.

The Rath is being escorted by two other vehicles carrying about fifteen young enthusiastic Volunteers-cum-Motivators headed by a monk facing the pangs of journey in the chili weather of Jharkhand.

As per the programme the volunteers are arranging video show, नुक्कड़ नाटक  on the life and messages of Swamiji and Indian Spiritual traditions and epics.

The Jharkhand Government in the Department of Art & culture and Youth Affairs has gird up its loin to make the approximately one-month Yuva Jagaran Programme a success with the help of the Ashrama and Ashrama has found in it a divine opportunity bestowed on its head to become instrumental in spreading the messages of Swamiji in the whole State which would not have been possible otherwise for the Ashrama.

Till date the Vivek-Rath has covered three districts where about three thousand set of calendar and booklets along with about 1200 other books have been already distributed. The Rath, after covering 21 remaining districts, will return back to the State Capital on January 12, 2017 where the closing function at the Samadhi-sthal of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and foundation stone laying ceremony at the island of main Lake of Ranchi will be held for installation of Swami Vivekananda’s life size statue as slated for the year 2018.

Lecture by eminent scholars & monks at all the Universities headquarters in Jharkhand and speech competition in schools and colleges all over the State have also been planned from January 3 to 10, 2017 to celebrate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti as National Youth Day.
